Most of us are familiar with two neighboring spice islands that share their uniqueness with the existence of volcanoes in both islands. Yes, you’ve guessed them right, Ternate and Tidore.

These two islands were known as the zero point of the spice routes of Nusantara. Further, Ternate and Tidore gained its reputation as the best and largest clove producers. Especially Ternate which once became a trade city with exquisite facilities after both local and foreign traders inhabited the area and opened trading posts.
