The legend of Laksamana Cheng Ho and his fleet’s arrival is one of the most legendary. Sam Poo Kong Temple which now stands firmly at the heart of the city of Semarang, witnessed the journey. Here, he moored and temporarily stayed when the helmsman was ill. The historical data becomes the origin as to why Semarang is multi-culture.
