Cinnamon (Cinnamomum) is a plant belonging to the genus Cinnamomum and the family Lauraceae. It has a strong aroma, warm, sweet taste, and brown to reddish brown in color. Cinnamon is taken from the inner bark which is cut to a certain thickness or in the form of powder.
