Tamarind

Tamarind is a fruit with a sour taste that comes from the tamarind tree (Tamarindus indica). It has a sour taste and is used in cooking in Indonesia or in a mixture of traditional herbal medicine. Tamarind is named by the Malays because it is used in Javanese cuisine. Meanwhile, this plant was brought by people from India and is known as tamarindus and tamarind which are derivatives of Arabic, tamrul-hindi.
