Pepper (Piper nigrum) is a plant expected originate in India. It is slightly bitter, spicy, warm, and antipyretic. Pepper is nicknamed The King of Spice and has an important role in the spice trade routes in the past. Several regions in Indonesia which are known as pepper producers are Aceh, Banten, Bangka Belitung, South Sumatra, Lampung, South Kalimantan, etc.
